It is located at the town of Rio Quente, state of Goias, in Brazil, holding an average annual temperature of 23°C (73.5°F).

History

The hot waters where discovered in mid 18th century, when emigrants moved to inland areas of the country. At that time, in 1722, Bartolomeu Bueno da Silva discovered the thermal springs fthat formed Rio Quente, where today is located the Rio Quente Resorts.

Located in the municipality of Rio Quente, in the state of Goiás, next to Serra de Caldas, in an extensive green area of 49,7 hectares teeming with woods and fully preserved native vegetetion, Rio Quente Resorts is in one of the most central areas of the country, equidistant to the main Brazilian regions.

Resorts World Bhd

Resorts World Bhd started in the year of 1980 in Malaysia. In 1989, Genting Group and Resorts World underwent a restructuring exercise, which resulted in Resorts World acquiring from Genting Group of its entire gaming, hotel and resort-related operations inclusive of goodwill and other relevant assets.

Universal Orlando Resort

Universal Orlando Resort is a theme park resort in Orlando, Florida. It is a joint partnership between NBC Universal and The Blackstone Group. The resort consists of two theme parks (Universal Studios Florida and Universal’s Islands of Adventure), Universal CityWalk (a nighttime entertainment destination), and three Loews hotels.

The resort began with the original Universal Studios Florida which opened in 1990. Expansion occurred in 1999, adding Islands of Adventure, CityWalk, several new hotels, and an enormous parking structure. The end result was a gargantuan resort destination much larger than Universal Studios Hollywood, as well as designed to be a head-to-head rival to Walt Disney World. Universal Orlando is located at 28.475° -81.470, north of the International Drive resort Area, on a parcel of land framed by Interstate 4 to the south, State Road 435 (Florida) (Kirkman Road) to the east, Vineland Road to the north, and Turkey Lake Rd. to the west. The resort is directly accessible from Interstate 4 via Exit 74B, which empties eastbound onto Universal Blvd. and westbound onto Hollywood Way.

Lake Lawn Resort

Lake Lawn Resort is a resort in Delavan, Wisconsin, United States. It is located on the shores on Delavan Lake. From Chicago, Lake Lawn Resort is about a 90 minute drive. From Milwaukee, it’s almost a 60 minute drive. Lake Lawn has its own private airport. The resort is located off Highway 50 (Geneva Street), near Interstate 43. The resort started a renovation project on July 25, 2005.

History

The north shore of Delavan Lake, where Lake Lawn Resort resides, was occupied by Indians as early as 1000 B.C. The resort’s construction unearthed many artifacts from these tribes that are currently on display throughout the resort. The first hotel was built there in 1878 as a place for members of The Mabie Circus to stay. The circus was eventually bought by Barnum and Bailey and the hotel was sold. It became a retreat for the employee’s of Common Wealth Edison, People’s Light and Coke Company and the Public Service company of Northern Illinois. The hotel was opened to the public in 1936. In the 50’s and 60’s the hotel was expanded, and an indoor pool, a health club, a convention center and a restaurant were added. The resort continued to expand by adding more guest rooms, a golf course, and an outdoor pool. The resort underwent many ownership changes between 1990 and 2005. Each change bringing a round of renovations to public areas, guest rooms or the golf course.

Today

The hotel currently features nearly 300 guest rooms, two restaurants, a golf course, driving range, airport, marina, three pools, and a health club. Renovations are underway to convert some of the hotel rooms into condominiums.
